June 10, 2000 - June 10, 2020 - already 20 years. Once upon a time, there was the JUDO CLUB FEMINA.

Should we remember or recall the genesis of this bold venture to create a multi-sport female sports structure in September 1999 in Limonade?

It was on June 10, 2000, by introducing judo, the dream of promoting and developing this sport, this combat sport, this martial art among young girls and transforming Limonade into a true women's judo city. A dream that became a reality that would surpass it.

Judo Club FEMINA was born with the motto "Higher, Further." It dominated Haitian women's judo for a decade. With this emergence of talents from the outskirts who have been able to and have successfully risen at the regional, national, and international levels, brilliantly taking over from their predecessors from the capital, Gina Sully and Manouchka Hogarth. A first decade of dreams with the unforgettable Caline Siméon, Darlyng Genard, Nadjeda Gena, Ange-Mercie Jean-Baptiste, Edeline Bien-Aimé, Youdeline Siméon, Dieulourdes Joseph, Jennyflore Vincent, the sisters Juna and Gerdine Mathieu, Evelyne Duverné, Nadège Moise, Rosemène Philidor.

JUDO CLUB FEMINA began the second decade with a new wave of rising stars, hoping to replace the already well-known talents of 2010, some of whom were leaving to strengthen the rosters of other LINOJU clubs. It was the rise on the international level of Saphena Ismael Cadet, the Dieulourdes and Dodelie Joseph sisters (all three members of ENTS), the gradual ascent of Genita Pierre, Phara Pierre, Incanise Bernadin, Guerline Auguste, Lovelie Moïse, Wilta Altidor, Tamara Ferdinand, and Kettly Cineas. The club maintained a certain supremacy that was beginning to be challenged by Judo Club Jose Marti of Port-au-Prince and Judo Club Shino Shindo of Trou du Nord. Over the two decades,

A wave of talented young male judokas joined the Club but were never able to overturn the female predominance. It should be noted that the Néré Brothers Lily and Nono, Kesnel Louis, Stevenson Pierre, the Marcelin Brothers Loulou and Carlo, Ricardo Elize, Francilo Chérubin, Maslin Valestin, Williamson Alexis, the internationals Mirto Cadet, Clenford Charles, Wilson Moise, Raphael Rousseau, Daniel Genna.

After its rich international record of approximately 106 medals, including 33 gold, the decline of the Judo Club FEMINA began in 2017. This resulted from general problems related to the recurring crisis within the FHJ and internal issues related to the demotivation of athletes and the disengagement of technical staff.

The FEMINA Judo Club celebrated its 20th anniversary without fanfare but in a family festive atmosphere, simple yet profound despite the heightened dormancy due to the lockdown. With the appreciated presence of representatives from the brother clubs ESSOR, UNION, SHINO SHINDO, SAIGO, and some friends and allies. A 20th with an overall balance still rich in positive impacts on the development of women's judo and judo in general, in results achieved in terms of national and international rankings, in trained resources.

JUDO CLUB FEMINA, at 20 years of age, has 5 black belts (3 men, 2 women), 4 coaches/instructors including 1 woman with a degree in Physical Education (Nadjeda G. Larose) and a Psychologist (Daniel B. Genna), 6 trained referees including 3 women with a degree in Administration, the only one active at the international level (Darlyng G. Berjuste).

The Coordination of FEMINA MULTISPORTS wishes a Happy and Sporty 20th anniversary in standby and confinement to all the leaders and judokas of JCF. She takes this opportunity to thank Sensei Josué Chèrenfant, the club's pioneer, his young successors, Daniel Genna and Johnson Joseph, and all the friends and supporters for their unconditional support over these 20 years. She encourages new arrangements and a renewed commitment from the technical leaders and athletes to relaunch towards another richer decade. While hoping for a Renewal within the FHJ with a different Leadership, a new vision, other orientations, and another governance. So that Judo can become "The Sport that moves and wins" again!

The successful organization of this 20th event with the involvement of the entire staff (local + diaspora) and the athletes could be the promising harbinger of a real revitalization of the Club towards clear objectives.

One can only hope and wait.
